Wood Chips Dryer Principle

Wood chips dryer can be used to dry wet wood chips to be moisture content less than 13%. After being dried, the wood chips can be used as fuel, biomass pellet fuel.

The principle of wood chips dryer :

When the wood chips dryer is working, the drum of the wood chips dryer is ratating at a certain speed. On the inner wall of the wood chips dryer, there are many lifting boards. These lifting boards shovel the wet wood chips up and down. In this process, the wet wood chipscontact with the hot airsufficiently.

The wet wood chips is heated by the hot air, and the moisture inside the woodchips is evaporated into water vapour. The dried wood chips goes our through the discharge hole of thewood chips dryer.
