It is also a core raw material for copper smelting. Its core components are mainly copper sulfides (such as chalcopyrite and bornite), with some copper oxides, and small amounts of gangue (silicon, aluminum, etc.) and impurities (sulfur, iron, lead, zinc, etc.). After beneficiation, the natural moisture content of copper concentrate is typically between 12% and 25%. This high moisture content severely affects subsequent smelting, storage, transportation, and processing stages. Therefore, drying is an indispensable pre-process in the industrial production of copper concentrate.
