The working principle of the sludge dryer is to effectively remove the internal moisture of the high-humidity sludge through heat conduction and convection, thereby achieving sludge reduction and stabilization. The specific process is as follows:
1. After the sludge enters the drying cylinder through the feeding device, as the cylinder rotates, the sludge is continuously lifted and thrown by the lifting plate and the lifting plate, and fully contacts with the high-temperature airflow in the cylinder. This contact not only increases the heat exchange area between the sludge and the hot air, but also enhances the heat and mass transfer effect, so that the moisture in the sludge evaporates rapidly.
2. In order to maintain the high temperature environment in the drying cylinder, a combustion chamber is usually set at the tail of the dryer to generate heat by burning natural gas, coal or biomass fuels. This heat is converted into hot air through a heat exchanger and then sent into the drying cylinder.
3. After the hot air exchanges heat with the sludge in the cylinder, the humidity increases and the temperature decreases, and then it is discharged out of the dryer through the dehumidification system.
