The difference for drying sawdust and wood shavings

According to the features of the sawdust and wood shavings, the sawdust is easier to be dried by the rotary dryer machine than the wood shavings.

Here we make a sample as folows:

Intial Moisture Content 60% (Bulk Density of sawdust is 328kg/m3,Bulk Density of wood shavings is 160kg/m3,), Output Moisture Content 20%.

As the bulk density of wood shavings is much less than sawdust, and the flowability of the wood shavings is also lower than the sawdust, so the wood shavings is some more difficlut to be dried by rotary dryer than the sawdust.

For the 2.0x11.5m Sawdust Dryer/Wood Shavings Dryer, it can handle 3 ton sawdust per hour, but it only can handle 2.4-2.6t/h wood shavings per hour.

Finally we can get about 1.5 ton dried sawdust per hour (Moisture content about 20%), and 1.2-1.3 ton dried wood shavings (moisture content about 20%) sawdust.
