Methods to reduce wood shavings breakage rate in the drying

When we usewood shavings dryer to dry the wood shavings, it may occur thata partof the wood shavings is broken, and it is a lost to the user. Usually the reason is that the wood shavings is too dry withlittle moisture.

Last year one of our Greece customer met this problem. The Greece customer said that a certain part of the wood shavingswas brokenand itwas not suitable to be the product as animal bedding again. The customer said that the dried moisture of wood shavings is about 8%. As you see, it is too dry.

Our engineer suggest that :

01. Add the feed quantity of wood shavings into the wood shavings dryer. Thus, every hour more wood shavings will be dried, and we can get a bigger capacity, and the dried wood shavings' moisture will be higher;

02. Ifyou have added as muchwood shavings as possible into the wood shavings dryer, but the wood shavingsbreakage ratio is still a little higher.Then you can increase the rotation speed of the wood shavings dryer, and as a result, every hour the wood shavings dryer can dry more wood shavings, and you can also get a little bigger capacity.

03. If you have done the above two steps, but the wood shavingsbreakage ratio is still a little higher. you can reduce the inlet air volume by adjusting the air vlave of the high pressure induced draft fan.

04. You also can reduce the feed quantity of fuel into the hot air furnace. Thus, less hot flue gas will goes into the wood shavings dryer.
